Meet the Teachers
Terrific Third Grade Teachers
Ms. Davies

This will be my sixth year teaching third grade at Sunset Ridge School, a community that holds a special place in my heart. I earned my Master’s in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Originally from Glenview, Illinois, I happily traded snow boots for hiking boots and now love exploring Arizona’s beautiful landscapes and national parks with my dogs. I’m also a proud parent of three children, all former Sunset Ridge and Boulder Creek High School students, who are now off on their own adventures in different states. Teaching, hiking, and discovering new places continue to fuel my passion for lifelong learning and connection.
Mrs. Wells

My name is Mrs. Wells, and I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher this year at Sunset Ridge! I’m looking forward to an exciting year filled with learning, growth, and new experiences.
This is my ninth year in education and my third year as part of the Sunset Ridge community. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and began my teaching career in the Midwest. After graduating, I relocated to Arizona and have lived in North Phoenix for the past 14 years. I live with my husband and our two children, who also attend Sunset Ridge.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to teach kindergarten through third grade, and I can confidently say that third grade is my favorite! I also took a few years away from the classroom to stay home with my children, which gave me a new perspective and deepened my passion for teaching.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, working on arts and crafts, tackling DIY projects, reading, exercising, traveling, and playing games. I believe in creating a positive and engaging learning environment and can’t wait to get to know each of my students and their families.
Let’s make this a fantastic year together!
