Meet The Teachers
Mrs. Biggs
My name is Tami Biggs, and I teach 6th grade math and science, as well as a 7th grade math class at Sunset Ridge. I have my master's in secondary education and I am highly qualified in Middle School Science and Math. This is my 6th year teaching at Sunset Ridge. Over the years, I’ve also taught 6th grade social studies and 8th grade science.
Outside the classroom, I’ve been married to my husband for 20 years. We have three kids: Anora (17), Adam (15), and Ainsley (12). Our family also includes two dogs, Hiro and Macey. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading, doing puzzles, and spending time at my kids’ activities—whether it’s a soccer game, a volleyball match, or a theater performance.
I’m looking forward to another great year at Sunset Ridge!
Ms. Harris
My name is Ms. Harris and I teach 6th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies at Sunset Ridge. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and hold endorsements in Structured English Immersion and Middle Grades English Language Arts. I am highly qualified in teaching ELA and have experience teaching reading and writing across multiple grade levels.
I love teaching and find great joy in building relationships, watching students grow, and celebrating their progress. Helping children master new skills and witnessing their excitement when they grasp new knowledge is one of the best parts of my job.
Outside of school, I enjoy arts and crafts, hiking, running, exercising, baking, and traveling. I am excited to partner with you in your child’s learning journey!
